swap progress.
1.25.2011
I finally joined my first swap this month (the Make Mine Modern Swap) and I am so happy that I did! It's been a lot of fun so far. I did some work on my first swap item this weekend, and I love how it's coming along!
This is my first time making string blocks....albeit slightly non-traditional ones (and I refuse to paper piece them) but they are coming out great and are really fun to make! I see more of these in my future.

Welcome to Bijou Lovely. This blog is named after my great grandmother, Bijou Lillian, who encouraged me to embrace all the lovely things that the world has to offer. I hope to provide you with inspiration for sewing, quilting, photography, design, and daily life here at Bijou Lovely! It's truly lovely to have you here.

This is beautiful! Love the fabric! Love the chevrons!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Love how they look like herringbone right now. I've always admired string/web quilts, but also refuse all the major work. How to when you're done?? :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Can't wait to see where this goes. Would love to hear more about the technique you've used if you're interested in sharing! I must say (warning -- sacrilige about to come out of my mouth!), I just haven't been as big a fan of Innocent Crush compared to AMH's other ranges, but this is the first project I've seen that is really making me change my mind. You've made the fabric even prettier!
