Windham Fabrics sent me a charm pack of Lotta Jansdotter's newest line, Bella, which should be available in stores in August.

Excuse the pun. The past couple weeks have been really busy, but I haven't sewn a thing! Between vacation, work travel, my sister's graduation, and other events I haven't spent a second in my sewing room, apart from stitching up some ruffled streamers for my sister's party. Kind of sad considering this pile of fabric is just waiting for me to sew up into some kind of quilt!
After seeing these in person, I knew I needed to buy some Echo to add to it! I've wanted this fabric forever, but for some reason had procrastinated on buying it, and of course now it's hard to find the entire collection in one place. Luckily my friend Tracey had just found some at her LQS and picked up an extra FQ bundle! It was meant to be.
I picked up a few different colors of linen I thought would coordinate with the prints at Joann, and they match really well!
I think I'll add in a few solids and get to sewing, hopefully at some point this week!

oooo i'm soooo jealous you got some bella! i'm working on an echo quilt - i was late to the game (though i meant to order some ages ago) and am now wishing i bought a yard of each, especially since they go so well with bella. can't wait to see what you make!

ReplyDeleteI have a stack of Echo waiting for me I can't wait to use!! Her new fabric will be out by the time I'm done most likely but that's ok : ) My sewing room is also neglected but I'll be back in there this week yay!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous linens to go with! Especially the turquoise! I also did not buy when I should have and now regret it. Especially since I'm in Italy and don't have a LQS where I can find this stuff. Can't wait to see what you do with this!

ReplyDeleteMm... look at all that fabric candy. Yes, thsi is a collection you definitely HAD to have. I didn't buy any either (just had a charm pack). I wonder why we were able to resist so long. Looking forward to seeing what you do!
