My design wall is completely full, and I'll have blocks taped to the wall on both sides of it by the time I'm done. This isn't the official layout, I'm going to take them all down and mix them up a bit before I sew them together.
My velveteen backing came this past weekend. It is so soft and fuzzy! I can't wait to wrap up in this quilt when it's finished.
This quilt has been approved by Jackson already, he keeps snuggling up against the blocks on the wall!
He's been keeping me company as I lay out each block, although sometimes he decides it's break time and lays down on them while I'm working.
He's my favorite sewing buddy! :)
The quilt is beautiful and that backing is absolutely perfect! I love, love, love that velveteen print.
ReplyDeleteI love everything about it. The joy of when I project together.
ReplyDeletethe blocks look great, and Jackson is TOO CUTE!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely quilt and the backing is a perfect touch. My sweet buddy weighs 62 lbs and sprawls under my feet most evenings unless my dh is reading in our bed and then he is off to cuddle in a soft spot!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites in the xplusalong!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely! This makes me want to try this pattern.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! Of all the X + quilts I've seen, I think this is my favorite. Love all the bright colors, but your choice of mixing them with the background neutrals really makes everything pop!

ReplyDeleteYes, your blocks are gorgeous. I will do this someday. Im happy our pet chickens stay outside. Your quilt is going to be stunning.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to make this pattern for forever and now I just want it to be exactly like the one you're making - perfect scrappy combo of everything!
ReplyDeleteYour sewing buddy is adorable! I love your quilt it's sophisticated and beautuful.
ReplyDeleteThis x plus quilt is stunning; I may have to jump in and try one myself--even though I have said NO NEW QUILTS until I finish off last year's! I enjoy your blog Julierose
ReplyDeleteYour dog is so, so cute!!! I have a question about the fabric requirements to do this quilt. I really want to do this in the same fabrics you used. If I get a fat quarter bundle of the field study fabrics is that enough (36 fat quarter cuts)? What are the other fabrics you used???
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!!!
