Susan let me stitch up the Week 1 project for her Log Cabin Quilting class early, since I'll be traveling a bunch during the next few weeks! I made a block for her first project, the log cabin pillow, and I am definitely looking forward to getting home to finish it! The sewing here was super simple, and I think it took me longer to decide on what fabrics to use than it did to sew it all together! :)
Turns out Lotta's Mormor collection plays pretty well with Leah Duncan's Meadow! These are not really my usual colors but I really like them together.
Log Cabin Quilting starts today, May 6th, and a new class is released each week for four weeks! Make sure to check out the trailer for Log Cabin Quilting here, read more about the class on Susan's blog here, and I really recommend subscribing to Creativebug and taking the class! These are affiliate links, but this is truly my honest opinion (and I pay for my own monthly subscription!). I have taken several classes and have never been disappointed, they are really all great!
Creativebug is giving away a 3 month subscription to one of my readers!
Update: This giveaway is now closed. Congrats to our winner, Ang-e!

ReplyDeletePS...I think your block looks great.
I haven't yet taken a Creativebug class, but I am interested in the Log Cabin clases. Thank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI have never taking a creativebug class. I have taken many Craftsy classes and love them. I would love to see Amy Butler teach her weekender bag.
ReplyDeleteI have never taken a class here. Might be time! Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI took one of Rebecca Ringquist's embroidery classes. It was my first try at embroidery, and I fell in love with it. I'd love to try the pattern drafting class next! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI haven't taken a class from them, in fact, this is the first time I've heard about them. I'm interested in quilting and hand embroidery classes. Thanks for the giveaway and I love the quilt your little one is on. :-)

ReplyDeleteNever taken a class on Creativebug but would love to do so! I'm always looking for classes on free motion quilting, paper piecing, and impromptu modern quilting techniques.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see a class on sewing all the odd shapes like tumblers, parallelograms, triangles, etc.
ReplyDeleteI would love a 3 month subscription to Creativebug!!!! I have not taken any classes yet and would love the opportunity to try it out!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun class and I'm sure Susan is a wonderful teacher
ReplyDeleteHolly, I've recently learned of Creativebug...would love to learn paper piecing and sun painting fabric.
ReplyDeleteI would be thrilled to win this prize, I really would. The log cabin class really appeals to me - as a new quilter I've attempted a few log cabin blocks but I don't really know the history of them or understand how to make them look good, as in balanced but interesting compositions that lead your eye around them. I think there is a lot more to great log cabin blocks than might appear, and I'm really keen to understand them better.
ReplyDeleteAnd I forgot to click the 'notify me' button just in case I win and you need to contact me! So I've done it with this one...
DeleteI've never taken a class, but the summer would be a perfect time for me to do so!
ReplyDeleteI've not taken a class at creative bug, but I really like what I've seen of the Log Cabin class and I'm intrigued by the pattern drafting class you mentioned as well.
ReplyDeleteBecause I am an avid gardener and home canner, as well as quilter, weaver, embroiderer, jewelry maker.... it was horrible to come up with a short list! But the Holiday Preserving peaked my interest. And the upholstered headboard. It is always fun to learn a new technique. You can never say you know everything about anything. Thanks for shariang!
ReplyDeleteIf I won, I would surely take some garment sewing classes.
